School Counselor Long-Term Substitute
About The Position
The Lebanon School District is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Counselor Long-Term Substitute to provide comprehensive school counseling services to students in grades PreK–12. This position is from November 2026 - January 2027. The School Counselor plans, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive school counseling program designed to support students' academic achievement, personal and social development, and college and career readiness. The School Counselor serves as a certified professional who works collaboratively with students, parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and community partners through counseling, consultation, collaboration, referral, and program coordination. The position supports the educational mission of the Lebanon School District by enhancing classroom instruction, student achievement, and the development of lifelong learning skills.
Requirements
- Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
- Appropriate Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification.
- Knowledge of school counseling practices, educational programs, assessment, and student development.
- Ability to interpret standardized test scores, educational performance data, and other pertinent information to assist students in identifying their strengths, abilities, educational needs, and future goals.
