About The Position

Under the supervision of the school counselor(s), this position maintains student records for the counseling office and assists the counselors in the performance of their duties. This position must be able to work with students, parents, faculty, staff, and college admissions representatives, have good communication skills, maintain high standards of confidentiality, exercise appropriate professional judgment, have computer skills and meet deadlines. Duties will also include general clerical tasks. The Counselor Intern will have direct contact with students therefore Interns will have to submit verification of approved TB test and fingerprinting. These positions are part-time (based on intern hours needed) and unpaid. The application process will close on October 30, 2026.

Requirements

You are enrolled in a partner graduate school program for a PPS Credential in School Counseling (with a currently active MOU on file)
You will need to pass a TB test and background check if selected

Demonstrate cultural awareness and respect for diverse student backgrounds.
Provide inclusive and culturally responsive counseling services with supervision.
Participate in professional development opportunities.
Contribute to a positive, respectful school climate.
Ensure students understand the counseling process and limits of confidentiality.
Respect students’ autonomy in decision-making regarding counseling participation.
