About The Position
The school bus mechanic inspects, maintains, and repairs a school district’s fleet. They run diagnostic tests, fix diesel or gasoline engines, replace worn brakes and tires, and complete state-mandated safety inspections to ensure all vehicles transport students safely. They will also be willing to perform other duties as assigned occasionally.
Requirements
- Experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing school buses.
- Proficiency in running diagnostic tests.
- Skill in fixing diesel or gasoline engines.
- Ability to replace worn brakes and tires.
- Knowledge of state-mandated safety inspections.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
