About The Position

DS Bus South LLC is seeking part-time School Bus Drivers and Driver Trainees to join the Helix team in Baton Rouge. This is an opportunity for individuals tired of working nights, weekends, holidays, or irregular schedules, and who prefer not to be on their feet all day. Ideal candidates will live in the Baton Rouge area, work well with children, and be able to pass a drug test and background check. Retirees and students looking for occasional work are encouraged to inquire about "as needed" substitute driver positions. No CDL is required as in-house training is provided. No experience is necessary as training is provided, and hiring is immediate.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from destinations.
• Arrive at destinations on schedule.
• Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.
• Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays.
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
• Always interact with clients professionally.
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
• Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
• Keep mileage records and repair records up to date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
