About The Position

DS Bus South LLC is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers and Driver Trainees to join the Helix team in Baton Rouge. This is an opportunity for individuals tired of working nights, weekends, holidays, or irregular schedules, and who prefer not to be on their feet all day. Retirees and students looking for occasional work are encouraged to inquire about "as needed" substitute driver positions. The company offers in-house CDL training for those without a CDL, and no prior experience is necessary as training is provided. Requirements

• Live in the Baton Rouge area.
• Work well with children.
• Pass a drug test.
• Pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from destinations.
• Arrive at destinations on schedule.
• Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.
• Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays.
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
• Always interact with clients professionally.
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
• Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
• Keep mileage records and repair records up to date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
