About The Position

Illinois Central is hiring School Bus Drivers in Carol Stream, Illinois, to safely transport students and serve the communities of Carol Stream, Streamwood, Bartlett, Roselle, and Hanover Park. Drivers greet students with a positive attitude and assist them with loading and unloading. No prior experience is necessary. The job offers flexible hours, with no nights or weekends required, and time off during school holidays. Drivers may take on additional hours through mid-day routes, field trips, and charters; summer school routes are also available for those seeking year-round work with school holiday breaks. Route hours are guaranteed for four hours per day when school is in session for the AM/PM route package.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a valid driver’s license for at least three years.
Pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet students with a smile and positive attitude.
Safely transport passengers.
Assist students with loading and unloading.
Communicate verbally with students and others as needed.

Pay of $26.00–$30.00 per hour for bus drivers; pay is based on experience and location details.
