About The Position

Career Success Schools is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Bus Driver to join our team for the 26-27 SY. The CDL Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that students arrive at their destinations in a timely and safe manner. Key responsibilities include adhering to all traffic laws, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and fostering a positive and respectful environment for students. The CDL Bus Driver will also communicate effectively with school staff and parents, providing excellent service and support for the school community. The school bus driver is responsible for AM pickup, PM dropoff, and school field trips. The bus driver can be at one central location or be shared between multiple campuses. The bus driver must have a valid CDL with endorsement, and be comfortable driving an 84 seat school bus, as well as a 14 seat bus.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with school bus endorsement.
• Proven experience as a bus driver or in a similar transportation role.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to operate school buses safely, with a strong record of adherence to traffic laws and school transportation policies.
• Skilled in maintaining a safe and orderly environment for students during transit, with effective communication and behavior management skills.
• Proficient in conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic maintenance tasks, and emergency procedures to ensure bus readiness and passenger safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate school buses on designated routes in compliance with all traffic regulations and school policies.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transport, adhering to established safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure buses are in good operating condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior and perform essential maintenance such as refueling and fluid level checks.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation schedules and any issues during transit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
