About The Position

First Student is seeking School Bus Drivers to provide unmatched care and the safest ride to school. This role ensures students arrive ready to achieve their full potential. The position involves a split shift, with early morning before-school pickups and after-school drop-offs, offering a guaranteed 4 hours per school day. Additional hours are available through trips and charters. This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT drug testing. First Student is committed to providing a drug-free workplace and considers qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with fair chance ordinances.

Requirements

At least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee.
Must not have a college degree or high school diploma (preferred, not required).
Must be able to work a split shift schedule.
Must be able to work a minimum of 4 hours per school day.

Responsibilities

Provide safe transportation for students to and from school.
Operate a school bus on a split shift schedule (morning and afternoon routes).

Work with students and ensure their comfort and security.
Participate in additional hours gained through trips and charters when available.
