School Bus Driver - SIGN ON BONUS
About The Position
Foreman Sales & Service is seeking dependable School Bus Drivers to provide safe student transportation for the Tri-Valley School District in Colton, South Dakota, during the 2026–2027 school year. Candidates who already hold a CDL and candidates interested in becoming professional school bus drivers may be considered; training opportunities are available to qualified applicants. Compensation is $125 per route day, and a sign-on bonus is available. CDL training assistance is available for qualified applicants. This is a part-time opportunity with predictable weekday scheduling, generally a four-day work week. Drivers operate established school routes and help provide a positive experience for children traveling to and from school. Additional driving opportunities for school activities may become available during the year.
Requirements
- Hold a valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, or be willing to obtain them.
- Have a safe driving record.
- Be able to pass a DOT physical, background screening, and required drug testing.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
- Show a commitment to student safety and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes.
- Transport students to and from school while maintaining a safe environment.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow DOT regulations and school transportation policies.
- Promptly report maintenance concerns or safety issues.
- Communicate professionally with school personnel, parents, and students.
