About The Position

The Fuller Center is seeking a Part-time School Bus Driver. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, cleanliness, and functionality of the campuses by providing routine, preventative, and general maintenance tasks. The driver will execute timely arrivals at assigned schools, safely transport children and staff, and obey the rules of the road. This position also involves performing monthly preventative and safety maintenance tasks, documenting necessary repairs and/or service, and performing ongoing maintenance as directed. Effective communication with children, co-workers, and guests is essential, as is the ability to accurately complete all documentation.

Requirements

Valid CDL Driver's License
Valid personal auto-insurance
Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals or technical procedures written in English
Ability to effectively communicate in English
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to provide physical assistance for all children including children with special needs
CDL license required; passenger or school bus endorsement
1 + years’ experience driving a school bus
No at-fault accidents in the last 5 years
Insurable driving record

Responsibilities

Execute timely arrival at assigned schools
Safely transport children and staff
Obey the rules of the road
Report any mechanical issues and/or the need for gas or service
Performs monthly preventative and safety maintenance tasks, documenting necessary repairs and/or service and performs on-going maintenance as directed.
Communicates appropriately and effectively in both nonverbal and verbal styles with all children, co-workers and guests.
Is able to legibly, accurately and thoroughly complete all documentation.
