About The Position

The John F. Kennedy School is seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as a school building substitute for the upcoming school year beginning September 2026. The school building substitute will join a vibrant and supportive team that prioritizes collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and a strong commitment to the goals of the district, as well as to our students, families, and staff. The John F. Kennedy School is an inclusive community serving over 480 students in grades K–5. We are dedicated to elevating the educational experience for all learners by cultivating a positive school culture and climate that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional and classroom support across grade levels as needed.
• Builds positive relationships with students and staff.
• Maintains continuity of learning in the absence of classroom teachers.
• Follows lesson plans and implements instructional activities effectively.
• Creates and maintains a positive, supportive learning environment.
