This role involves accurately maintaining all school financial records, preparing monthly bank reconciliations, training school personnel on accounting policies, and ensuring proper procedures for collecting and depositing funds. The bookkeeper will process financial information, compute and verify bills, manage accounts payable and receivable, and perform various bookkeeping duties according to policy DJE. Responsibilities also include computer data entry, performing year-end closing procedures, maintaining records of student debts, assisting the Principal with budget reconciliation and invoice processing, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. The role requires maintaining accounting and internal control procedures, assisting auditors, entering staff leave, and performing Title I bookkeeping if applicable. Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining professional practices are also key aspects of the position.
