School-Based Therapist - Washington County School Districts
About The Position
Professional Services Group (PSG) is seeking School-Based Therapists for their Washington County School-Based programs. PSG is a community-based social services organization dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their greatest potential through innovative programming. Their school-based programs work with children and families struggling with academic and behavioral concerns within the school environment. Therapists will provide intervention directly in schools, including individual and group therapy, education/consultation for school personnel, and family therapy. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with adolescents, serving the community, and ideally have summers off or reduced summer hours. Part-time summer hours are available. Candidates should have an interest in providing services to students K-12 and experience with family systems and the effects/treatment of emotional trauma in children and teens is preferred.
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Licensure to provide mental health therapy in the State of Wisconsin; LPC, LPC-IT, APSW, or LCSW or be eligible to obtain one.
- Pre-licensed therapists are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
- Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
- Create and review client treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plans.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
- Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
- Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.
