About The Position
The KVC School-Based Therapist provides clinical counseling services to children and teens, with a special focus on those impacted by trauma. Services include individual, family, and group therapy. The therapist works closely with school staff, families, and KVC teammates to ensure each child receives care and support. All services are provided during school hours, with a schedule that follows the school day and time off aligned with school breaks and holidays.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
- Licensure or certification as an LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, or LPC.
- Knowledge of clinical theory, therapy, and systems.
- Analytical ability to handle moderately complex administrative details, such as preparing nonrecurring reports.
- Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with attention to detail.
- Ability to work productively and respectfully with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy to children and teens.
- Provide family therapy to children and teens and their families.
- Provide group therapy to children and teens.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and KVC teammates to support children’s care.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with attention to detail.
- Prepare nonrecurring reports and handle moderately complex administrative details.
