About The Position

Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Therapist to join the Children, Youth, and Families Mental Health program as a member of the school-based team. The School-Based Therapist is a licensed mental health professional who provides therapeutic services for youth who are experiencing a variety of behavioral and psychiatric symptoms. Services are mostly provided directly in the school setting and coordinated with the education team; however, some clinic and/or in-home services may be required. This is a year-round position with services expected to continue through the summer.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a masters-level clinician in the State of Utah.
  • Experience in completing behavioral health assessments and providing clinical care to youth and their families is required.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Fully-licensed LCSW preferred.
  • Candidates with an active license in the State of Utah as a CSW, CMHC, ACMHC, or MFT will be considered.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience providing outpatient therapy to youth and their families is strongly preferred.
  • Spanish speaking highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Must meet agency productivity standards.
  • Maintain clinical documentation as required by agency standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnosis as appropriate.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans consisting of mutually agreed upon goals and objectives and update as needed.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to decrease symptoms and improve functioning.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and supervision.
  • Independently manage caseload including referral and waitlist management.
  • Provide consultation on mental health or behavioral concerns to school personnel as needed.
  • Attend school meetings as appropriate (IEP, etc.) and provide clinical recommendations to help clients succeed in school.
  • Assist with the collection, tracking, and reporting of required data metrics.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with school personnel.
  • Coordinate with other staff and community agencies as needed to provide effective care.
