About The Position

Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Therapist to join the Children, Youth, and Families Mental Health program as a member of the outpatient team. The Outpatient Therapist is a licensed mental health professional who provides therapeutic services for individuals who are experiencing a variety of behavioral and psychiatric symptoms. This position is located on-site at Davis Technical College and provides services to students in collaboration with relevant campus partners. This is a year-round position with services expected to continue through the summer.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a masters-level clinician in the State of Utah.
  • Experience in completing behavioral health assessments and providing clinical care to youth and their families is required.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Fully-licensed LCSW
  • Active license in the State of Utah as a CSW, CMHC, ACMHC, or MFT
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience in crisis intervention is highly preferred.
  • Experience providing clinical services in an academic setting.
  • Knowledge of and experience in dual diagnosis assessment and treatment is highly desirable.
  • Spanish speaking highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Must meet agency productivity standard.
  • Maintain clinical documentation as required by agency standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnosis as appropriate.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans consisting of mutually agreed upon goals and objectives and update as needed.
  • Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to decrease symptoms and improve functioning.
  • Independently manage caseload including referral and waitlist management.
  • Respond to crisis situations, conduct risk assessments, and develop appropriate disposition and safety planning.
  • Coordinate with DTC staff and other community agencies as needed to provide effective care.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with DTC staff.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and supervision.
  • Assist with the collection, tracking, and reporting of required data metrics.
  • Provide psychoeducational groups, workshops and consultation to students and staff, as requested.
  • Participate in meetings with school personnel to review trends and needs.
