School-Based Therapist - Washington County School Districts
About The Position
Professional Services Group (PSG) is seeking School-Based Therapists to join their team in Washington County School Districts. PSG is a multi-service community-based social services organization dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their greatest potential through dynamic, cost-effective, and innovative programming. Their programs work with children and families struggling with academic and behavioral concerns within the school environment. School-Based staff provide intervention directly in schools, including individual and group therapy, education/consultation and collaboration for school personnel, and family therapy as needed. Ideal candidates will enjoy having summers off or reduced summer hours, with part-time summer hours available in addition to those associated with a 9-month salary. Candidates should have an interest in providing services to students K-12 in a school setting. Experience working with schools and an understanding of family systems, as well as the effects and treatment of emotional trauma in children and teens, are preferred.
Requirements
- Master's degree
- Licensure to provide mental health therapy in the State of Wisconsin (LPC, LPC-IT, LCSW or APSW)

Responsibilities
- Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
- Create and review client treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the client's treatment plans.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
- Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
- Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.
