About The Position

Professional Services Group (PSG) is seeking a School-Based Therapist to join their Washington County School-Based programs. PSG is a multi-service community-based social services organization dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their greatest potential. This role involves working with children and families struggling with academic and behavioral concerns within the school environment. School-Based staff provide intervention directly in schools, including individual and group therapy, education/consultation for school personnel, and family therapy. The ideal candidate will enjoy summers off or reduced summer hours, with part-time summer hours available. Candidates should have an interest in serving students K-12 in a school setting. Experience working with schools and an understanding of family systems, as well as the effects and treatment of emotional trauma in children and teens, are preferred.

Requirements

Master's degree
Licensure to provide mental health therapy in the State of Wisconsin (LPC, LPC-IT, LCSW or APSW)
Wisconsin state licensed or in training mental health counselor
Enjoy working with adolescents and serving the community

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
Create and review client treatment plans.
Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plans.
Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.
