About The Position

Liberty Resources is seeking a School Based Mental Health Therapist to provide assessment and psychotherapy services to students and families at Hasings Mallory Elementary School. The role includes work in school and home environments and collaboration with school personnel and other health care and behavioral health providers. The position follows a 10-month school-year salary schedule, with per diem rates for 10 weeks during summer. Modified summer hours with a reduced workload are offered. The role has a hybrid schedule combining in-person and remote work.

Requirements

• Must be flexible and oriented to family work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills and ability to effectively use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Valid New York State driver’s license and access to reliable transportation when required.

Nice To Haves

• LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC credentials are preferred; therapists with clinical internship experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments by gathering information from parents, children, and other relevant sources.
• Provide individual and family therapy in school and home environments.
• Use diagnostic and assessment information to develop treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices.
• Participate in the School Intervention Team and partner with school staff and teachers to support students’ success in school.
• Collaborate with trained health care and behavioral health providers.
