About The Position

Liberty Resources is hiring School Based Therapists to provide assessments and therapeutic services to students and their families in school-based settings. The position follows a 10-month schedule aligned with the academic school calendar, with flexible work options during the summer. Therapists work as part of a multidisciplinary, team-based care model and collaborate with school staff and teachers to support students’ success. Active supervision is available for clinicians seeking licensure or further clinical expertise.

Requirements

• LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC preferred; therapists with clinical internship experience will also be considered.
• Flexibility and an orientation toward family work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills and ability to effectively use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Valid New York State driver’s license and access to reliable transportation when required.

Nice To Haves

• LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments by gathering information from parents, children, and other relevant sources.
• Provide individual and family therapy in school and home environments.
• Use diagnostic and assessment information to develop treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices.
• Provide crisis intervention services when needed for the caseload.
• Participate in the School Intervention Team and partner with school staff and teachers to support students’ success.
