About The Position

This role is for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with The Arc of the Ozarks, located in Springfield, MO. The SLP will work directly inside school environments, providing assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders to students. The position focuses on supporting children where they learn and grow, helping them gain confidence, independence, and essential communication tools. Key aspects include delivering services on-site, building relationships with students, teachers, and educational teams, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals. The SLP will utilize evidence-based techniques to ensure measurable progress, maintain accurate documentation in line with Missouri DESE qualification standards, and engage in professional development. The role also involves supporting and supervising SLP-As and requires on-site availability two days per week. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible new hires.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Missouri SLP license
ASHA CCCs
Experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of communication disorders
Commitment to student-centered, school-based intervention
Passion for making a difference through connection, compassion, and communication

Responsibilities

Provide assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders
Deliver services on-site in schools, building relationships with students, teachers, and the educational team
Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals
Support and supervise SLP-A
Utilize evidence-based techniques to create measurable progress
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the Missouri DESE qualification standard
Continue growing through professional development
Be available on-site two days per week
