School-Based Physical Therapist
About The Position
Child’sPlay Therapy Center is seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join their school team full-time. This position is located in a desirable school system outside of the metro Birmingham area. This is an ideal opportunity to join a practice with over 10 years of history delivering therapeutic services in the academic setting. Child'sPlay Therapy Center's mission is to provide the highest quality therapy services in an environment that is compassionate, respectful, and supportive to clients and their families, enabling each child to reach his/her full potential. Their services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, and ABA therapy.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice physical therapy
- Pediatric physical therapy experience or other experience working with children in a clinical capacity
Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy services for clients
- Complete all required documentation for clients
- Collaborate with Child'sPlay colleagues and school team to discuss progress and recommendations for clients
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and document, analyze, and interpret results
- Collaborate with teachers, special education coordinators, and other services providers to help clients reach their goals
- Attend IEP meetings to advocate for the clients school based services
- Participate in our mentorship network as either mentee or mentor
