About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) in La Plata, MD, to provide individualized therapy and collaborate with school teams and families to support students’ mobility, independence, and success. This role involves conducting assessments, creating and implementing therapy goals, partnering with various stakeholders, and completing necessary documentation and billing.
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Current Maryland Physical Therapist license issued by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy

Responsibilities
- Conduct formal and informal assessments for Pre-K–12 students, focusing on gross motor development, functional mobility, adaptive skills, and activities of daily living.
- Create and implement therapy goals and services through IEP/IFSP processes, including recommendations for therapy frequency, intensity, accommodations, and equipment.
- Partner with educators, families, related-service providers, medical professionals, and community partners to support students’ participation, mobility, independence, and access to learning.
- Complete therapy documentation, evaluations, progress reports, and Medicaid billing while meeting regulatory and service timelines.
