About The Position

Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our school-based therapy team serving students across Volusia County Schools. Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current State of Florida Physical Therapist license and eligibility for an NPI number
  • One year of related clinical experience and/or training (pediatric therapy experience preferred)
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Integrity, flexibility, and a heart for helping children thrive
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students' needs.
  • Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans that support student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams through IEPs, SSTs, 504 Plans, and problem-solving meetings.
  • Track progress using EMR and other approved systems in alignment with DOE and Easterseals standards.
  • Prepare reports, justifications, and documentation to ensure quality service and compliance.
  • Mentor and supervise assistant-level therapists (COTAs), interns, and volunteers.
  • Participate in peer reviews and ongoing professional development.
