Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active occupational therapy licensure in Maryland or eligibility to obtain it.
NBCOT certification required or in progress.
Experience working with pediatric populations; school-based experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of IEP processes, IDEA regulations, and school-based occupational therapy practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff.
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with varying needs.

Responsibilities

Provide direct occupational therapy services to pediatric students in a school-based setting.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students’ functional needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Document progress notes, evaluation reports, and IEP goals in compliance with school and state requirements.
Provide sensory integration, fine motor, and self-care skill interventions.
Participate in IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences as needed.
