About The Position
Adelphi is seeking Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to support school-based occupational therapy services within a school district in Tigard and Tualatin, Oregon. The assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support students in classroom settings using a consultative and push-in model.
Requirements
- Active Oregon Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
- Pediatric experience required.
- Ability to implement therapy plans under OT supervision.
Nice To Haves
- school-based experience preferred.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT.
- Support delivery of services in a consultative, classroom-based (push-in) model.
- Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills within classroom routines.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student participation and success.
- Help prepare materials and adapt classroom tools as directed by the OT.
- Document services and maintain accurate records per program requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and support IEP implementation as directed.
- Maintain compliance with FERPA and applicable regulations.
- Provide services on-site only (no remote work).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
