About The Position

This position is for a School Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for the 26/27 school year in San Bernardino, CA. The role involves executing individual treatment plans for students under the supervision of a licensed OTR supervisor, measuring treatment effectiveness, completing documentation, working with behaviors, and collaborating with school staff.

Requirements

• Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients.
• Highly flexible and agile.
• Highly collaborative, team-oriented and customer service driven.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or program.
• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
• Current Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods of time.
• Physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.

Responsibilities

• Execute individual treatment plans for students under the supervision of a licensed OTR supervisor.
• Regularly measure clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progression towards goals, and openly communicate your findings to your supervising OTR.
• Complete all necessary documentation.
• Work with and develop strategies to overcome various behaviors.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure the student's goals are being met.
• Work with a wide array of students (age, race, ethnicity, etc).
