School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
About The Position
PRO Pediatric Services is seeking an exceptional Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services within a local intermediate unit for Extending School Year (ESY). This part-time position is located in Lehman, PA, and will serve students from K-12. The role involves implementing specialized therapy treatment in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP), administering assessments, analyzing data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy License
- Must have at least 1 year consecutive experience treating children and/or adolescents in an educational setting
- Must be comfortable using a computer
- Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
- Current clearances (within 6 months)
- Must have all clearances updated within the year
Responsibilities
- Implement specialized therapy treatment in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Administers occupational therapy assessments to determine a student’s level of functioning relative to their age and educational placement in a variety of areas
- Analyze and interpret assessment data and facilitate the use of the data as a guide for operative instruction to improve student skills
- Collaborates alongside a multidisciplinary team including special education staff, classroom teachers, and other service providers to ensure continuity and consistency in providing comprehensive services to students
- Serves as a member of the school’s multidisciplinary team, IEP program team, and offer consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s goals
- Completes, updates, and maintains required documentation
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned
