About The Position

PRO is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to provide therapeutic services to middle and high school students in a school setting in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The counselor will support students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. This is a full-time, 10-month position scheduled Monday through Friday during school hours. Requirements

Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
Active Pennsylvania Professional Counselor License.
Previous experience as a school-based LPC.
Strong desire and motivation to work with children and youth with a behavioral or mental health diagnosis.
Current clearances, obtained within the past six months.

Responsibilities

Provide individual counseling to children and adolescents using appropriate therapeutic strategies and techniques.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment goals.
Serve as a resource for behavior management and self-regulation strategies.
Engage in family outreach and connect families with community resources and supports.
Monitor student progress.
Maintain required clinical documentation.
