Provides clinical assessment, behavioral health treatment, case management, care coordination, and crisis intervention for children, adolescents and their families across all professional and clinical settings. The role involves accurately assessing and documenting client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status, and diagnosis, and prescribing initial interventions in a timely manner. It also includes assisting in developing specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives, employing strategies of intervention consistent with empirically supported treatments and program expectations, and coordinating client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care. Completing clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards, and remaining current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare while collaborating consistently with the team psychiatrist are also key functions.
