About The Position

The School Based Clinician provides mental health services to K–12 students to help them navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges affecting their success inside and outside the classroom. The clinician works with educators, families, and community partners to provide student-centered support and promote positive outcomes.

Devereux Pennsylvania’s School-Based Mental Health Services provides resources, education, and support to children and families living with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences. Services are family-focused and student-centered, and help students build resilience, overcome challenges, and reach their potential.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related Human Services discipline.
• At least two years of verified paid experience providing mental health treatment.
• Current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services.
• Conduct Student Assistance Program (SAP) assessments.
• Deliver prevention and wellness programming.
• Coordinate case management services.
• Consult with school personnel, families, and community partners.
• Support students through evidence-based, student-centered interventions.
• Collaborate with educators and caregivers to develop strategies that promote student well-being and success.
