About The Position

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency dedicated to treating and preventing substance use disorders and mental illness. With programs across Southeastern Massachusetts, High Point offers a comprehensive continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. The agency also supports survivors of abuse, violence, and families facing homelessness. High Point operates on the belief that every individual possesses inherent goodness, worth, and dignity, aiming to empower individuals and families to achieve personal change and enhance their quality of life. This role involves working as a full-time school-based clinician to support students within the school environment.

Requirements

Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field required.
Experience with working with elementary to high school aged clients is required.

Nice To Haves

Independent license - Massachusetts LMHC or LICSW preferred.
Eligibility for free classes to become a Licensed Counselor or Recovery Coach.

Responsibilities

Meet with students at school during the school day.
Follow the typical school schedule and work with students directly within an office in the particular school.
Partner with teachers, parents, and school administration to create a workable treatment plan for students needing additional emotional or social support.
