About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) within the CSBBH Program provides therapeutic and case management services to children and their families in a setting other than the provider agency or office. These settings can include the child's home, church, community center, school or other community settings. The care provided is child-centered and family focused. The Behavioral Health Technician functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality care is being provided and is medically necessary.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a human services field.
  • Knowledge of the mental health and social service field.
  • Familiarity with and ability to access community resources.
  • Ability to make accurate assessments of client needs and to be creative in seeking appropriate services.
  • Successful completion of an FBI Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance and Child Abuse Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Two year's experience in the mental health field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
