About The Position

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking an enthusiastic School Age Group Teacher to join our growing community! Our goal is to inspire curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning in every child. Spring Education Group’s Early Childhood Education Division includes nearly 150 schools offering services from infant care through Pre-K/K programs, as well as summer camp and after-school programs. Our locations span a nationwide geographic footprint and a diverse array of pedagogical approaches — including our proprietary Links to Learning curriculum that draws from the collective expertise of renowned early-age educators such as Dewey, Piaget and Vygotsky; Montessori schools that embrace both accredited Montessori methods – AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) and AMS (American Montessori Society); and progressive language immersion programs in Mandarin and Spanish.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
90 clock hours of training for the State of Maryland or 6 semester hours of early childhood education coursework
Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
A passion for early childhood education and helping children learn and grow
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build a positive classroom environment
Authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
