About The Position

Glassboro Child Development Centers is seeking an experienced School Age Group Leader to support our after-school programs. This role involves creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where school-age children can learn, grow, and thrive. The Group Leader will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate activities while supporting children's social, emotional, language, and physical development.

Requirements

Three years of experience working with children (preferably in a school or childcare setting)
CPR and First Aid Certification
Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members

Nice To Haves

Child Development Associate (CDA)
Associate degree or 60 college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field

Responsibilities

Welcome children and families while creating a positive, supportive environment
Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's interests and development
Provide active supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities
Promote health and safety practices throughout the program
Observe children and document developmental progress and program participation
Communicate with families regarding children's needs, progress, and concerns
Support and mentor Assistant Teachers, Leaders, and volunteers as assigned
Assist children with bathroom and personal care routines as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
Participate in required professional development and ongoing training
Attend staff meetings and agency events
Participate in reflective supervision
Assist with classroom organization, cleaning, and material preparation
Participate in parent conferences as needed
