About The Position

The School Age Enrichment Instructor is responsible for providing a developmentally appropriate safe, and engaging environment for School Age Enrichment programs. The Instructor will create, develop and implement Enrichment programs that will support in the areas of Art, Music, STEM, STEAM and the languages. The instructor will supervise learning activity lessons, ensure children's safety, and promote positive social interactions in accordance with facility guidelines.

Requirements

Degree in Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Special Education or Physical Education
Proven experience in teaching, working in chosen Enrichment area of expertise
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Friendly, patient, and attentive with strong communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple children with varying needs and energy levels.
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Actively teach and engage children ages 5-12 in Enrichment activities
Maintain a clean, secure, and child-friendly environment.
Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Organize and lead developmentally appropriate lessons and activities dependent on area of Enrichment
Promote a positive and respectful atmosphere among children.
Greet parents/guardians, manage check-in and check-out procedures.
Communicate any concerns, behavioral issues, or incidents promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with supervisors and other staff to support child care program standards.
Clean and sanitize equipment, and classroom areas regularly in compliance with health standards.
Monitor supply inventory and inform supervisor of needs.
Follow all facility policies, licensing regulations, and COVID-19 safety protocols if applicable.
