About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at Los Ninos and Sierra Vista Elementary Schools for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and fun environment, and acting as a positive role model for children aged 5-12. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy and patience, encourages curiosity, and works well with teammates and families. This position is well-suited for parents seeking a schedule aligned with the school day, education majors, or retirees looking to mentor children.

Requirements

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
