School-Age Childcare Site Supervisor – After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a part-time School-Age Childcare Site Supervisor for its After School Program at AJ Smith Elementary School in Union Springs, New York, for the 2026–2027 school year. The position follows the school calendar, with program hours from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. The Site Supervisor facilitates engaging activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum, helps children complete homework, and fosters a safe, healthy, and fun environment. The role also includes following applicable state and program policies and supporting program operations. Healthy Kids Programs provides employer-paid childcare for the employee’s school-age children enrolled in its program during the employee’s work hours.
Requirements
- Meet one of the following education and experience options: a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of direct experience working with children under 13; a School-age Child Care Credential or other Office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period and one year of experience working with children under 13; or an associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.
- Obtain required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Be physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
