About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School Age Childcare Site Director for our Before and After School Programs at our Knowlton Township Elementary School in Delaware, NJ location for the 2026–2027 school year. The Site Director is the heart of a Healthy Kids Programs location. You'll lead the daily operations of the site by creating a safe, engaging program that children love and families trust. You'll support and coach your team, build strong relationships with families and school partners, and ensure the program meets Healthy Kids Programs' quality standards and all licensing requirements. This role is for energetic, organized leaders who enjoy making a positive impact in children's lives every day. Key success characteristics include loving to work with children, bringing energy, kindness, and patience, enjoying encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence, working well with teammates, communicating effectively with families, and being reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting.
  • Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.
  • Focus on results, not excuses.

  • Empathy, professionalism, G-rated work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college or early childhood coursework preferred.
  • Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
  • Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus.
  • Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required.
  • Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
