School Age Childcare Lead Teacher – After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead Teacher for our After School Program at Wells Memorial School in Harrisville, NH for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar and operates in the afternoons from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoys encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. This role requires working well with teammates and communicating effectively with families, while also being reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care.
Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
