About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead Teacher for our After School Program at Wells Memorial School in Harrisville, NH for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar and offers afternoon hours from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy and patience, encourages curiosity and creativity, works well with teammates, and communicates effectively with families. Reliability, organization, and a commitment to exceptional care are key. This role is well-suited for parents seeking a schedule that aligns with the school day, education majors or future teachers looking for hands-on experience, and retirees who enjoy mentoring children.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
  • Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
