About The Position

Columbia Academy is seeking a School Age Before & After Care Teacher to join their team. This role involves supporting classrooms, including those for infants, and requires a passion for working with children. The position offers a supportive environment, resources for creating a positive learning atmosphere, and opportunities for career development. The teacher will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, plan engaging activities to foster cognitive, social, and emotional development, and track student progress. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
MSDE School Age Certification REQUIRED
1 yr experience working with lower Elementary age children
Comfort driving a van (provided by the school) REQUIRED
Classroom Experience working with children in a classroom setting, often through student teaching or internships.
Classroom Management Skills includes proficiency in managing classroom behavior, creating a positive learning environment, and implementing discipline strategies.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required.
The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in schools is not strictly required; individuals from fields like customer service, healthcare, and retail may be qualified if they love working with children.
