About The Position

Columbia Academy is seeking a Before & After Care Teacher to join their team. This role involves supporting classrooms, including those for infants, and offers a supportive environment with resources for teachers. The position focuses on developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, planning engaging activities, and assessing student progress. Columbia Academy also provides education incentives and career development programs to support educators' growth.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
MSDE School Age Certification REQUIRED
1 yr experience working with lower Elementary age children
Comfort driving a van (provided by the school) REQUIRED
Classroom Experience working with children in a classroom setting, often through student teaching or internships.
Classroom Management Skills includes proficiency in managing classroom behavior, creating a positive learning environment, and implementing discipline strategies.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required.
The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in schools is not strictly required; individuals from customer service, healthcare, retail, and other fields may be qualified if they love working with children.
