About The Position

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a School Admissions, Marketing & Office Manager for St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Bethesda, Maryland. This role is responsible for managing admissions, marketing, and office operations to support the school's mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in Communications or Marketing, preferably in a non-profit or educational environment
  • Must have experience supporting the development and execution of a marketing and communications plan, employing strategic decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect authentically with students and families
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness
  • Comfort with public speaking and representing the school in various settings

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, education, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with FACTS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare strategic plan with admissions and marketing strategies and provide follow-on reports.
  • Represent the school at visits, school fairs, and community events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local grade schools, counselors, and community partners.
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective students and families throughout the admissions process.
  • Conduct follow-up communication to guide families from inquiry through enrollment.
  • Coordinate and host shadow days, tours, and campus visits.
  • Plan and execute admissions events (Open House, Accepted Student Events, etc.).
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student ambassadors to ensure a positive visitor experience.
  • Support the review of applications and participate in admissions discussions.
  • Track applicant data and enrollment trends.
  • Maintain accurate records in the admissions database.
  • Provide timely, professional, and personalized communication with prospective families.
  • Support email campaigns, follow-up outreach, and enrollment communications.
  • Work collaboratively with the Financial Aid staff to support families navigating tuition and aid.
  • Partner with faculty, coaches, and program directors to highlight student opportunities.
  • Engage current students and parent ambassadors in the admissions process.
  • Support broader school initiatives that contribute to recruitment and retention.
  • Plan for, create, and deploy digital activities: website, online campaigns, email marketing, social media, and digital content production.
  • Manage all aspects of the school’s print and digital communications, ensuring brand continuity.
  • Publicize events, programs, points of view, and achievements to the media.
  • Photograph or manage photographers at relevant events.
  • Answer telephone calls and welcome guests to the office.
  • Handle typing, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Assist with some minor financial processes.
  • Assist with human resources and employee onboarding requirements.
  • Assist with projects working with school leadership and staff.
  • Assist with coordination of volunteers.
  • Perform other office duties as assigned.
