About The Position

GTSC seeks a Scholarship Program Support Specialist will serve as the on -site team lead for the F. Hollings Undergraduate Ernest Scholarship Program. This person will support the student scholarship application, administrative review, and selection processes. This position is contingent upon contract being awarded

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, education, or similar field
• 6 -8 years of experience
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Works with NOAA Security Office to issue badges for scholars.
• Drafts and prepares correspondence for the Scholarships Program Managers' signature.
• Provides guidance support for junior contractor staff on the team.
• Maintains time and attendance and leave calendar for scholarship support contractors
• Reviews scholarship support contractor's reports for accuracy
• Maintains internship and mentor spreadsheets for an estimated 125 -150 scholars
• Assists Program Managers where needed and fills in for Program Managers during vacation times, travel etc.
• Conducts other education and outreach activities in support of the education and scholarship programs, as needed.
• Submits content for Office of Education social media and web presence.
