Scholarship Assistant ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This posting will close on: 06/10/2026 No further applications will be accepted on or after this date ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scholarship Assistant (Primary: Outreach & Engagement | Secondary: Awarding Support) Primary Function Supports scholarship programs through student outreach, engagement, and event coordination. Ensures students are informed, supported, and successfully connected to scholarship opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required
  • Experience in student services, outreach, events, or customer-facing roles preferred; entry-level candidates welcome.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort working with diverse student populations in multiple formats (in-person, phone, virtual)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Positive, professional, and student-centered approach

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to current and prospective students regarding scholarship opportunities.
  • Support the Scholarship Administrator with awarding processes as needed.
  • Follow up with students regarding applications, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate student participation in scholarship events, including the annual recognition program.
  • Represent scholarships at college-wide events to promote awareness and engagement.
  • Assist in preparing donor stewardship materials and event-related communications.
  • Support application processing, data entry, and database maintenance.
  • Track RSVPs, attendance, and logistics for scholarship-related events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to ensure scholarship information is accurate and accessible.
  • Participate in NCC Foundation and Institutional Advancement events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
