About The Position

Wasatch Labs is seeking a Scheduling Planner I to join their team. This role is responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of daily and weekly manufacturing schedules, updating schedules based on various factors, and managing work orders within the DEACOM ERP system. The Scheduling Planner I will monitor production progress, communicate schedule changes, and identify/escalate scheduling conflicts. This position also involves utilizing ERP and scheduling systems, coordinating with inventory and material teams, supporting production by working with supervisors, and ensuring clear communication across departments. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate production records, preparing reports, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and company policies is essential, as is maintaining confidentiality. The role may involve performing other duties as assigned to support operations, production, and supply chain departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, inventory control, or administrative support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Follow all GMP, FDA, OSHA, and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of production schedules and customer information.
  • Support compliance with internal quality systems and manufacturing procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred; DEACOM ERP experience is a plus.
  • Experience using Monday.com or similar project management software is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of production scheduling concepts.
  • Ability to analyze production data and identify scheduling conflicts.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Comfortable learning new software and manufacturing systems.
  • Customer-service mindset with a collaborative approach to supporting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining daily and weekly manufacturing schedules.
  • Update production schedules based on material availability, equipment capacity, and customer priorities.
  • Release and maintain work orders in DEACOM ERP.
  • Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes to appropriate departments.
  • Help identify scheduling conflicts and escalate issues to the Production Planning Manager.
  • Utilize DEACOM ERP to create, update, and maintain production work orders.
  • Maintain accurate production data, inventory status, and scheduling information within DEACOM.
  • Use Monday.com to track production activities, planning projects, scheduling priorities, and departmental communication.
  • Ensure production information remains accurate and up to date across all systems.
  • Monitor raw material and packaging inventory needed for scheduled production.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams regarding material shortages or delivery concerns.
  • Verify that required materials are available prior to production scheduling.
  • Assist in planning production around inventory availability.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors to ensure schedules are achievable.
  • Adjust schedules based on equipment downtime, labor availability, or production delays.
  • Assist in prioritizing manufacturing orders to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Help maintain production efficiency while minimizing downtime.
  • Communicate schedule updates to Production, Quality, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and planning discussions.
  • Maintain clear documentation regarding schedule changes and production priorities.
  • Escalate scheduling concerns that may impact customer commitments.
  • Maintain accurate production planning records.
  • Prepare reports regarding schedule adherence, work order status, and production progress.
  • Verify production data accuracy within DEACOM ERP.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency.
  • Follow all GMP, FDA, OSHA, and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of production schedules and customer information.
  • Support compliance with internal quality systems and manufacturing procedures.
  • Provide planning and administrative support to Operations, Production, and Supply Chain departments as needed.
