About The Position

Neighborly Home Care is seeking a high-energy Scheduling Coordinator for their Wilmington, DE office. This role is crucial for managing caregiver schedules, matching caregivers with clients, and serving as a communication hub between caregivers, clients, and families. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving in fast-paced environments and committed to supporting both caregivers and clients to ensure high-quality, personalized care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Scheduling, healthcare, home care, or call-center experience a plus
  • Comfortable with computers and scheduling software
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • On-Call rotation required (1 week on, 2 weeks off), with additional pay for on-call coverage (phone coverage only).

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and maintain accurate caregiver schedules that meet client needs.
  • Monitor changes, prevent conflicts, and keep daily operations running smoothly using scheduling software.
  • Pair caregivers with clients by considering care needs, skill sets, personalities, and preferences.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between caregivers, clients, and families, answering questions and resolving concerns.
  • Handle call-outs, emergencies, and last-minute schedule changes with calm efficiency.
  • Track caregiver attendance, punctuality, and availability, helping to maintain accountability and recognize strong performance.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients by scheduling initial services and answering questions.
  • Work closely with leadership and office staff to keep the office organized, positive, and collaborative.
  • Use scheduling systems and digital tools to update records, track availability, and maintain compliance with company policies.
