As a Scheduler, your exceptional organization and time management skills are key in the efficient and successful scheduling of services throughout the system. This role involves managing incoming calls, greeting customers, taking messages, sorting and distributing mail, reviewing patient letters for accuracy, and ensuring outgoing mail is ready for the mailroom. The Scheduler will also recognize and communicate any problems or issues related to scheduling practices. Specific duties include coordinating surgical scheduling for multiple physicians, including pre-admission history and physicals, diagnostic procedures, and in-house procedures. Additionally, the role involves scheduling timely and efficient transportation for patients to skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation facilities, or home. For the ElderOne program, responsibilities include accurately documenting sick time and absenteeism for home care employees, providing input on annual home care caregiver employee evaluations, establishing and maintaining an annual vacation and time off schedule for assigned staff, and maintaining KRONOS scheduling.
