About The Position

The Mission Critical Scheduler at Rogers-O'Brien Construction is a pivotal role responsible for crafting and managing detailed project schedules for various construction projects. This position requires expertise in creating schedules across different phases of construction, from initial proposals to intricate resource and cost-loaded schedules. With a focus on operational excellence, the Scheduler ensures that schedules are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with project objectives. Working closely with the Scheduling Manager or Director of Operational Excellence, the Scheduler plays a crucial part in maintaining the timeline integrity of multiple projects. This role demands strong organizational skills to handle concurrent schedules and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 for managing complex project schedules, ensuring timely updates and accuracy
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling principles to foresee potential delays and strategize recovery options
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive schedule quality reviews, identifying logic errors and critical path concerns
  • Exceptional analytical skills for tracking and forecasting cost and resource allocations within project schedules
  • Excellent communication skills to lead scheduling meetings and ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned
  • Experience in generating detailed reports and maintaining comprehensive schedule documentation
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in scheduling analytics and software proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Regularly visit projects to update schedules using Primavera P6, managing multiple projects and maintaining schedule integrity
  • Lead scheduling meetings with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate master schedule updates and foster collaboration
  • Document and analyze schedule adjustments, providing impact assessments and recommendations
  • Create and maintain a variety of construction schedules, adapting to project-specific needs and contractual requirements
  • Develop proposal, baseline, and recovery schedules to align with project objectives and milestones
  • Prepare detailed reports and schedules by trade or phase as requested by the project team
  • Maintain comprehensive schedule documentation within the RO File Structure System, adhering to database management standards
